It has been brought to their attention that the “blank screen” is not very user friendly.

How do I play synced items offline with new beta

that this screen, that still appears some of the time (they call it a bug) is more desired

Showing the “on this device” hub when off line, but you can see in the thread I linked to that the desired screen, for some unknown reason, is the blank screen by the developers.
