So it is simple, while Commercial cutting is pretty awesome as a feature, I am sure with the many channels out there, there is a lot to think about for how to tweak the configuration perfectly, and I had seen no options for this inside plex itself. So while we are perfecting this particular feature I think it would be awesome if we could have a check box to retain the original file somewhere on the server, so if something important gets cut out we can still have the original file in tact, and do the removal ourselves. Just a thought…

replace 127.0.0.1 with the IP address of your Plex server, in case it runs on a different machine

This is a developer option. Don’t expect Plex to keep tab on the various cut and uncut versions. You need to manage those yourself.
