I’m sure this has been asked before but I’m now implementing the Home User accounts. Ratings and labels are good start on restrictions. Unfortunately the rating system has been very inconsistent decade to decade.
I like labels but could also solve this with more specific filter restrictions.
Is there a way to place a label over an entire genre? Right now it appears that I have to touch every single item and manually add a label.

If you mean you have to add a label to each item individually, one at a time, that’s not true. If the below is what you understand to be the case, I apologize for being redundant.
You can multi-select your albums, and add a label to them in one shot.

This can be done for Music (by Album only, not Artists or Tracks), as well as Movies.
He means can’t we have a select all function… Then we could just filter down a genre, and apply labels to the whole genre. Instead of having to individually click each movie we want included.

apply your filter
hold down the Shift key and click on the first item in the list
scroll down to the end of the list
hold down the Shift key and click on the last item in the list
I had the same question awhile back and didn’t realize the shift-click function until another nice samaritan pointed it out… it works like a charm, I tagged thousands of items this way… wonder if there is some way to make this more intuitive…

A select all button?
To be honest, I didn’t try it because there’s usually a load of obvious things Plex tends to leave out, and I thought that was one of them. Happy to find out it isn’t the case.
