As Plex App has new video engine and plans for HDR support I think it would be very useful to provide users with information what HDR/WCG hardware is detected and how playback of HDR/UHD content is handled. In particular if HDS-to-SDR tone mapping is ued or HDR passthough (or somethign else) is done.
That also would help to answer questions Plex app users have about if their setup with HDR is working or not. For example:

I am sorry but you linked my post to the github issue where the mpv devs discussed how HDR is handled and what they intended to do for it. What exactly are you asking for here?
Like @Achilles mentions in that (or maybe another) link. Nobody, but nobody is getting HDR in Plex Media Player or the Plex app.
The only way it’s possible is via various 3rd party players (and Plex doesn’t allow this) and various other workarounds.
It’s achievable in Kodi, it’s achievable in Emby as they both allow custom media players.
But neither is perfect and life is far too short.

Fixed - my intention was to post to whole thread and I did not notice that forum is rewriting addresses in browser to what you see on screen.
I would like clear and unambiguous information about how HDR is handled in Plex app.
