There is a resolution filter for movies, which is immensely helpful. Doesn’t seem to be one for any Tv related libraries. It could function the same way and help in finding that one episode or tv show that you missed upgrading to HD content. Or it could help with singling out series that will look nice on your new HDTV, because even momentarily viewing SD content will cause violent vomiting and explosive diarrhea.
