Especially for the Roku app (and presumably PHT & the android TV/Amazon Fire app, if not all of them) it would be awesome to be able to set a sleep timer to match my TV. Currently, If I'm watching a 2 hour movie, and set my sleep timer for 30 minutes, it plays all 2 hours...chewing up bandwidth & leaving me unsure of where i stopped. If I could set a sleep-timer to automatically stop what was currently playing after a fixed time, that would save bandwidth and make viewing the rest later way simpler :)
I am a life time member and I love Plex! Will you add a feature for sleep timer in particular the Android app? I listen to audio books frequently especially when falling asleep and waking up to my book playing all night and not remember where I left off.
Audible app has this feature but I have some books on Plex and not Audible so I would love to have this feature. This also could apply to any music or videos as well.
You should be able to set it for 15 min increments up to 2 hours would be great.
I concur with previous posts and would like a sleep timer. I mostly use iOS for audio. I already tried using the native iOS timer in Clock, but the Plex app apparently ignores it. I would personally request more granularity than 15 minutes, even down to 1 minute if the interface does not become too cumbersome.
I totally support adding a sleep timer especially for Roku. When Plex is running on Roku, it prevents the Roku from sleeping. A Plex sleep timer would exit the app and allow the Roku sleep feature to engage.
Anyone else interested in this feature? I would think this would be awesome add. It’ available in my Audible app but I have plenty of content on Plex that I like listening to or watching at night and really would like a sleep timer.

I would love to be able to adjust the timer or be able to turn the 2 hour timer off. I play my roku while I sleep and most of the day. It becomes a pain when I’m cooking and have to run and find the remote to keep it playing

Yes, I agree, this would be very useful. The HTPC has Passout Protection, which works kind of similarly, but the implementation on the Android app is very neat and tidy, it would be great to have the same settings and interface across platforms.
And your idea for setting what to do at the end of the timer (sleep, shutdown, turn off monitor, etc) is a good extension of that for PCs.
