Hey all, is there a way to fence off DVR recordings per individual and also, place a limit on the amount of data they can store?
If you create several libraries and allow each user only access to one of them, yes.
Limit: no.
Then, Is there a way to force a user to record to a specific library while also sharing the entire catalog? Cause it looks like - if they access they can copy it to any folder - and I would like to keep things out of the general TV folder.
This seems like it could become a management problem eventually.
You will have to educate your users about that. And maybe revoke their access to the DVR feature if they cannot discipline themselves.
that is not and has never been a solution to anything, especially when you are talking about 7 year olds…
