I recently disabled my admin account for the synology NAS and created a new one per security guidelines of Synology. Now all players of all devices give the error in the title and are unable to play any files.

My Plex account has full control over the directory where my files are store which is in the Plex folder in \NAS\homes\plex. (not the share folder where the Library folder is).

If I re-enable the admin account, everything is golden again.

Thank you for the response. I learned many things today, mainly that this was user error.

I had switched to having Plex installed on a standalone computer a long while ago and the admin account was used (and stupidly not changed) back when I was first learning about Plex, Networking, my first NAS, etc. I was literally disabling the account used for file access, forgetting that the installation had been moved for transcoding and MCEBuddy purposes. Now I just feel stupid.
