Does anybody have an idea why a movie file (.MKV) does not show up in the PLEX library? I can see the file when I display the HD library with the Finder app but not in PLEX. I have tried to play the movie with VLC and it plays fine.
I have deleted the file and reloaded it again but same result.

What is the name of the file? If you improperly label the movie, it might have been matched as a Duplicate of another movie in your current library. You can check for duplicates by going to the Library tab, and changing the All dropdown in the upper left corner to Duplicates. This can tell you if the movie got matched wrong, most likely because of an improper movie file name.
