Why does not a movie show up in my library even though I see it when I look at the master file (on the hard drive) using Finder?
I’m running Mac OS 10.13 on my server.
I’m running the latest Plex version, 1.28.2.6151.
The file is a MKV file, as are the majority of my movie files.
I have tried to copy it to the desktop and delete the file on the disk. Reloaded it, with the same result. Have run Library Scan but still no movie in the library…
I have checked to see that are no duplicate of the movie and also searched for it using Plex’s search function with no result.
Any ideas why it won’t load?

And if in doubt, post a screen capture of your file system, from the root of your movie library all the way down to the missing movie

here is a screenshot of two movies that are right next to each other in my library.
I can’t see any difference between them.
The movie On the Road shows up perfectly while On the Rocks does not.

You have to put the year in parenthesis for every movie.
Some might match without it but that’s just luck.
