Every now an then I will have a file that Plex Server can not see. Sometimes its an MKV, this times it happens to be a mp4 file with h264 video codec.1920 x 1080, @ 16x9, with Audio codec consisting of acc,6 channel, ample rate 4100, bit rate 128. This file plays fine an all mt devices, but will not show up in PlexTV.
The two main reasons that a file does not appear inside of Plex are:
-
File Permissions - Such that Plex does not have permission to read the file in question.
-
Naming - If the file is not named the way Plex is looking for then it won’t be included. IE TV Show naming convention (Show Name - SxxExx.ext) will specifically not show in a Movie Library.
I running Win 10, and its in my normal TV folder under, and it has the normal format, season and episode> I will move it to another folder, and see if that works. TY
Not sure what the deal is, but they only show up when placed into my Movies folder.

This sounds like a naming issue. If they are showing up in a Movies folder that means they are not following the naming that a TV Show looks for. This is because a show named how the TV Show scanner is expecting it will automatically be excluded from the Movies folder.
