Put an antenna filter inline recommended by Silicondust and it seems to help get all the channels, apparently the 5G cell towers are screwing with my OTA signal. Anyway, rescanned using the LiveTV & DVR option in Plex, got some 40 channels (as compared to the 13 I been getting) but Plex will not assign channel information to the channels found and will not let me SAVE them so they show up in the player. Spent 30 minutes getting everything assigned and Plex threw it all away because it would not save anything it didn’t already have, one hell-of-a waste of my time. Tried several times and nothing, Out of 36 channels found Plex will only save and show 19, WOW,. Plex could apparently care less if there are channels out there or not. This is definitely not an acceptable result considering all the work and expense that turned out to be completely wasted. Plex is getting to me more problems than solutions?
For such a large change, it’s generally easier/more accurate to delete the DVR and create it fresh, in my experience. Plex will automatically map all the channels it can (which should be almost all of them which have guide data); you’ll only need to manually map the ones it can’t. It doesn’t automatically map channels when rescanning on an existing DVR (or at least it’s never done so for me).
