Find where to watch something with "Discover" and your "Watchlist"

I’m also seeing the “Something went wrong” message.
It shows across the browser (Chrome) and the Windows app.

The Shift+F5 or CTRL+F5 or sign-out->sign-in don’t help. I actually can’t even sign out on Windows app with the error displayed.

Ideas?

Cool new beta feature, one I’ve wanted for a long time.

1 bug I found was that it told me “Murder on the Orient Express” was available on HBO Max, and it is not available on HBO Max.

One feature request is to include Movies Anywhere content too.

Plex is always there. If you’re not seeing it, it means your content is not matched using the newer Plex agents. Got to your library and change the TV/movie agents to Plex.

So how do we disable Discover completely?

I love this new feature, finally I can combine my TV and movie watchlists and justwatch lookups in one place. Is this where we provide feedback? Is it possible to import letterboxd and/or trakt watchlists? Can there be multiple watchlists, i.e. to watch with kids, want it watch etc.? Is there a learning algorithm to provide better recommendations? Can we hide titles? If we’ve watched a whole show, it should be removed from the discover section. If we’re in the middle of a show on a different service, like Netflix, the next episode should be added to our home view maybe under a “continute watching on Netflix” section or something. That is all for now! I think the feature is great!

There’s lots of omissions here in Canada. For example checking content within the Star tab on Disney+ (not to be confused with STARZ on Crave) it’s missing a bunch of stuff like e.g. The Dropout (Star Original in Canada → Hulu in US) or The Great North

For TV I’m already using the agent “Plex TV Series” and for movies “Plex Movie” in the relevant libraries. But the content is showing up, and there’s no “Add to Watchlist” option on any of my stuff.

I have multiple Netflix users in my household. How can I chose which user should watch the show that I searched in Plex? It opened it in my son’s profile.

Played with the new feature this afternoon. I’m kind of not getting what the benefit of selecting streaming services is. When I search I see movies / TV from all services. When I pick a movie it shows me watch options from all services.

What is the actual benefit of selecting services I’m subscribed to?

I would also like to push back on the managed users not having access. My in home family have been managed users forever so we just have a user pick list on all clients. No logins etc. Everyone having their own separate account would be a disaster. Please consider allowing managed users access to this feature.

Out of curiosity, what’s the purpose of the ‘Mark as watched’ feature, if we’re currently unable to filter these items out or create a playlist with them?

My content does not appear either. And I’m on the latest agents just like the other two users who replied. What can we do here?

#discover. I think this is a great idea but I don’t see everything from my saved lists from my other apps. So if I want to watch it then I have to go to that particular app. Also, it would be better if you had a filter for language and tv shows separate from movies.

Anyone with ShieldTV get this working fine? I don’t want to upgrade and have errors if it is not ready yet for ShieldTV. Thx for any advice.

You have essentially the whole functionality of justwatch.com built into Plex.

I’ve ALWAYS wished Plex had the ability to allow you to click on an Actor and it would take you to a page showing their entire filmography. Adding this to Discover (and globally across Plex) would be AMAZING.

Could be amazing !
Some idea :

  • translate the view in other languages
  • be able to remove unused view likenew trailer
  • be able to filter and never display content “for rent”, I have Amazon prime but I do not rent for movie.
  • sync watch
  • top watched in my country

Hi, and thanks for the update. I would love to add this to my Plex Server. But I’m having issues enabling this feature. Once I click to activate it is giving me an " Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred." Is this service only available in the US? I live in Puerto Rico, which is a US Territory. My Plex Server is install in macOS Monterey 12.3.1. Also I am a Lifetime Plex Pass subscriber. Thanks!

Is this behavior expected? -

Currently doing a re-watch of Star Trek: Deep Space 9. I went into the Plex Watchlist and manually marked the first 6 seasons as played. I was expecting the Season Premiere of Season 7 to show up under my “Continue Watching” so I could just jump right in, but it did not

.If we mark episodes (or seasons) as “Watched” in our Watchlist, is the next episode supposed to show up in the Continue Watching list on my Home Screen, or are we supposed to access it from our Watchlist instead?

I have this error in PC app
