Are the old items in your library still matched with old agent. You can look at the Plex media info on item and look at the GUID which will show which that particular movie was matched with. If you never refreshed metadata for entire library after changing library agent this can happen.
there is not a way to force that. should hopefully be in next server update
unpin discover from your home screen
The interface for Amazon is terrible but the one positive they have is a button in the top corner to only show content “free to me” (where free includes active subscriptions). That’s one of the annoying things about the Chromecast for Google TV/Android TV and AppleTV interfaces, pushing $24.99 movies and such on the Discover page
I’m in Canada and I got it
I like this feature a lot, I think @Plex should go even further though and implement those streaming service buttons into recognized shows we have in our libraries so friends can see the option of where they can watch without having to go through the Discovery tab.

The universal search is great, I noticed it brings in Discovery results, only thing is that they’re buried at the bottom of the list. So combining the search to one page where you can choose which platform to watch would shrink this list a lot. Henz my first recommendation here.
I know this is beta, but I was disappointed with the feature set.
It might be fine for movies, but is too cumbersome for television shows. I had to drill down several levels to get to the show and correct season and then scroll over to the newest episode.
It should easily surface the next episode - not just the next show.
Just trying to understand this… they should check-out your library but then opt to watch things someplace else?! I find that… confusing ![]()
As a person with very few subscriptions, I find I am being suggested far more ways to NOT watch something, than ways that I actually can.
Odd question… does this work wirh trakt?
No, it’s a Plex only thing
I can’t seem to get my fire cube to update the plex app I’m hoping it will soon. My rokus and pc app work good with it though.
Yes, firetv devices are v8 and upon new update we should see Discover there. New Search might have been updated already though.
I find it a bit strange that if I add something to the watchlist it shows a different poster than what is showing in my library.
Works great on iOS. When using the app on Roku or a smart tv I receive a notice that linking content within another app is currently unavailable. You have to then manually switch over to the other app such as Netflix, Prime or Hulu. It would be nice if it would automatically bring you to the show within the new app.
I had originally stumbled over that too. Keep in mind… the watchlist item on its own is not linked to your server and Plex (cloud) doesn’t know what’s on your server. It’s only the client that’ll establish that connection when it’s adding your library as „where to watch“ item.
It’s getting even spookier if you’re dealing with different languages (e.g. Plex Web in English, Plex for iOS matching the iOS system language).
I’ve read in the support article that “(Not all platforms allow sending the user to the corresponding streaming app.)” Is there a published list of platforms that do/don’t support sending the user to the corresponding streaming app? So far I read that Apple TV does, but Roku does not.
Seems to be working fine on iOS and Plex Web too. From what I’ve been reading this will also apply to Android.
Not sure about the other big-screen apps.
It’s not showing on my Apple TV app and yes in case you ask it’s updated to newest version. 8.1
Is there a way to remove the “Trending Trailers” and “Trending On Your Services” rows from the Home Screen when Discover is pinned? Or at least customize what is showing?
Thanks!
