  • What is the title?
  • What is the streaming service that is misbehaving?
  • What is your region?
  • What is the platform you’re seeing the issue on?

  1. Title Quite a few, if you look at say “The Boys” it says there is a 4th season to watch yet it does not come out till July, 2022. It seems that if it knows it will come it is there though the picture is black.
  2. In this case it is prime Video but I see it happening with many, The Good Doctor shows are upcoming also promoting that they are available and that is not a streaming service more a TV channel CBS I believe.

Also, can you suggest a feature to be able to hide already seen shows/ movies and more from all screens so I do not see suggestions of things I have seen? Thanks.

@plexsupport discovery looks great, but any idea why my live tv (tuner) is missing from the options “watch from these locations”?, in this example, we can see “Chicago Fire” showing as available only on Hulu, Peacock, fuboTV but it doesn’t show my Live TV tuner channel Fox 29, however when I search for the show across all see it listed, separately in the Live TV (Tuner), if this is not an issue could you please integrate the Live TV (Tuner) into Discover?

When will we be able to disable Discover?

When you do enable use for managed users, will you allow it to be disabled entirely for those users? If not… Plex does not work for me anymore.

Just fyi, Plex officially doesn’t explicitly say or comment what they’re planning so users can only discuss and request for things they need.

Will this feature be rolled out to Managed Accounts also? I prefer not to allow home users to log into my main Plex account to avoid accidental deletion etc.

discover works ok on ios device, however when i use the plex app on xbox one, and try to stream somthing on say Netflix, I get the message “Linking to content within other apps is currently unavailable…”, so does this mean this this is not in fact compatable with xbox one ?

Xbox doesn’t support deep linking apps hence the message. Same goes for Roku.

@OttoKerner Thanks! Unfortunately, my folks only have a TCL Roku TV, so I guess it won’t really help them until Roku “opens up” a bit more. Hopefully Plex will send an announcement when the full functionality of this new feature is available on Roku.

On Win10, when I select the source, it starts a browser connection to Netflix even though I have the native Netflix app installed. Can this be configured to start the app instead as it is already logged in.

Really liking this, and am surprised at the response on other social media where people seem to be complaining that something now exists that they don’t have to use.

Some issues I’ve run into on the current PMS version (1.25.9.5721-965587f64 on Synology DSM6):

  • When viewing film/show information from a service I have configured, it shows me “also streaming on” services I haven’t configured. I get why this may be of use to some, but I’d like to be able to select “Don’t show me services I haven’t configured” (ever).
  • The services configured on one client (e.g. Nvidia SHIELD TV) also show as configured on another client (e.g. Android phone), despite both devices having completely different installations. I’d like for this to hide content for services I don’t have installed on that device. (The services should be separated by client, even if stored on PMS).
  • It shows seasons and episodes available to my configured services that consistently show “Unable to find a location for this content” (or similar). I think this may be due to that service not having the latest season (e.g. latest seasons of NCIS or Peaky Blinders, with Netfix, Prime and BBC iPlayer installed in the UK). I’d like for this to show only the content available to the client I have configured.
  • It autoplays trailers in the background, regardless of my PMS setting. I’d like this behaviour to follow my configuration in PMS.

Other than these few points, I’m impressed.

Looking forward to seeing if/when you make it available for the web interface.

Live Tuner/EPG metadata didn’t make it in before release but it’s a top priority to be added.

Add to the filter “available to stream for free” and have a way to get a notification when its available.

bug - I dont have britbox selected as a service but I do have bbciplayer, but searching for “dibley” (as in vicar of dibley) suggests britbox and no BBCiplayer

I have sky go on my android phone but it jumps to play store; works ok for netflix, amazon and bbciplayer

First of all - good job guys :slight_smile:

Two requests, one of which may be something that’s on its way:

  1. Could I please add a Playlist to the Watchlist? I’m watching through Deep Space 9 and Voyager as they were transmitted using a playlist. I’d like that Playlist to be placed in the Watchlist amongst the movies and tv shows

  2. I’m sure this is a bug or unfinished feature but I don’t want to see options to watch shows on streaming services I haven’t selected in my settings.

But again, this is great. Release the Apple Silicon server and I’ll be a happy bunny :wink:

How am I able to get the GUID’s out of the watchlist API? includeGuids=1 in the query string doesn’t seem to work

There is no way to not use it. You can unpin, but it’s still in search results.

If it could actually be disabled, it would be a non-issue.

This is my first post ever. I’ve been a Plex user for a while now, I have a plex pass.

I never wanted this, I think this is Plex just selling out with selling user data to the highest bidder.

Plex is my media server, how do I disable and disconnect all of this external linking? I want my users to be able to search my library, not curated junk from other disjoined members. I don’t want my users getting asked for Surveys on what their favourite media “provider” is. This is pretty disgusting.
