Find where to watch something with "Discover" and your "Watchlist"

There are no options to add account info for these sources once enabled so how is that done? There are No instructions that I can find for this @ Plex.com

It is simply asking the streaming service(s) whether the title is available in your geographic region in general.
Totally independently of whether you actually have an account on this particular streaming service.

What I have noticed, adding the source/provider app to your hardware and creating a account, provided a smooth experience. In my case my LG Smart Tv.

Note: these were services that were free, example Tubi

This is awesome! I no longer need “JustWatch”.

Request: Steal the functionality JustWatch has on AppleTV (maybe elsewhere too). When you select a show it opens the app (Say Hulu) just like Plex is doing. When I come back to JustWatch later it says “Did you watch S01E04 of show XYZ?” And I can click yes or no to mark it watched.

I was SO looking forward to this new DISCOVER feature only to find that it has the same flaw for searching. It doesn’t review METADATA so if you do a search for say ZOMBIES you only get titles with the word in the title but you miss completely great zombie movies like WARM BODIES or the original 1968 movie THE LIVING DEAD.

PLEASE INCLUDE METADATA IN SEARCH!!!

Here’s the related feature suggestion to expand search to also look for matches in descriptions:

You cannot see it via a browser but you can see it in the desktop app version 1.43.3.

That’s not true. Try the hosted web app.

In JustWatch I’m not bound to my IP geolocation for the information, I can tell it that I am in country XYZ and it will show me the options based on that. For people who live in multiple countries this is a must, since I have streaming services that aren’t available in all countries (yes my dear Americans, that’s a thing  ). Now I am unable to select all of my streaming services, or it will show me the wrong content because I happen to be in a different country than where my subscription is from.

Tl;dr: Allow me to specify the country I want the library and available services to be seen from. Or use the server country (would work in my case as well).

I stand corrected. I’ve never used the browser version this way and it appears I would have to be online to see my library this way. I normally just use the browser version to view and edit my own content and use device apps to actually watch any content. thanks for the tip! I do love this concept and I hope it continues to grow!

Please help, when I go to streaming services setting “No streaming services found for your region”. That it’s not true, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV Plus and many more are available in Puerto Rico.

On another note; my server running in the plexinc/pms-docker:latest container (updated today) continues to serve me Plex Web Version 4.76.1 - whereas https://app.plex.tv/ serves me Plex Web Version 4.78.4. It seems that the first does not contain the update yet. What do I have to kick to get this to work? I’ve already manually restarted the container, and flushing browser caches / incognito doesn’t seem to do the trick. Is there another caching layer I need to flush?

Please don’t post the same message several times.

Yeah, i saw the “staged rollout” mentioned, and “a day or two”, but it’s been longer than that, so i was hoping for a more concrete timeline. I could install the Google Play version, but that would mean paying to access my own server all over again. That’s why i’m stuck on the Amazon appstore version. And my FireTV stick is really only limited to what their appstore offers, too.

Amazon app review is notoriously delayed. There is unfortunately nothing that can be done about it – other than waiting it out.

I would love to be able to use plex to know what I have watched and thus hide those shows and movies in all screens when will this come into the system?

We need this for our home user, if not I have to create a fake user rather than use my admin user.

Anyone experiencing issues with the links to apps not working in Discover? I set up the feature and got recommendations, but when I tried to access the associated streaming service app via the button/link in Plex, it failed to launch the app (in my situation, it was the AppleTV app).

Discover Bug: It is showing available episodes to watch that have not come out yet when on the Home Screen. Making it look like I have missed a full season that is not even available yet.
