I have port forwarded the router to the specifications i read in a forum
I had to disable uPnP port forwarding and use manual port forwarding.
My Plex server runs on a Windows 7 machine with a static IP and the Plex server was manually set to port 32400 (Settings > Server > Connect). I only have one Plex server running and am not behind a double-NAT.
These settings are for a Verizon FiOS Quantum Gateway router (FiOS-G1100), so adjust accordingly.
Firewall > Port Forwarding > Add
Select the IP of your Plex server from the drop down menu
From the ‘Application To Forward…’ drop down menu, Choose ‘Custom Ports’ > Click the ‘Advanced>>’ button
Under ‘Protocol’, choose ‘TCP’ > Under ‘Source Ports’, choose ‘Any’ > Under ‘Destination Ports’, choose ‘Specify’ and type 32400 in the text box.
Under ‘Forward to Port’, choose ‘Specify’ and type in 32400 in the text box > Under ‘Schedule’, choose ‘Always’ > click ‘Add’.
Repeat for UDP. I generally have to keep TCP and UDP port forwards separate. I get inconsistent performance by choosing ‘Both’ under ‘Protocol’.
In the port forward map, it should look similar to this (buth with your Plex server’s local IP address):
192.168.1.1:32400 Destination Ports 32400
TCP Any -> 32400
even after doing this the PMS still goes green then immediately back to red…At a total loss here and ready to throw the G1100 in the garbage
never had this issue with the Actiontec
even had these servers running proper a day ago and all of a sudden they crapped out
Any help very much welcome
