IF I set the Client Quality to Maximum and try to stream Live TV to my Fire HD 10 Tablet just about any station regardless of its resolution (1080i, 720P or 480i) may start but fail after a few seconds. If I set the client quality to 1080P at 8 Meg than a 1080i station will stream OK but a 720P will not until I lower the client quality to 720P at 2 Meg. I am not getting a Direct Stream on either the audio or the video they are both being trans-coded. This is only on Live TV. With the client quality at Maximum Recorded TV of any resolution will Direct Play OK. Also any video file from my server plays OK. Now I also have a Fire HD 8 (7th Gen) tablet and a Galaxy S9 Android cell phone all with the same version of the Plex client and they both work fine with both Live TV and recorded files of any resolution without trans-coding with their client quality setting at Maximum. Every test was done with only one stream running at a time and the results were consistent. What’s different about my Fire HD 10 Tablet that is causing this. These test were all done on my local network not over the internet. The WiFi devices were within 5 feet of the router so signal strength is not an issue.
