Fire stick/TV Episode scrolling crashes plex

Hi,

I’m a plex pass member and have been using plex for awhile on different devices mainly PlayStation platform. About 2 years ago I bought a Amazon fire stick 2nd gen and starting enjoying plex even more. Much easier to navigate with a remote rather then PlayStation controller. Somewhere around Sept 2020 I ran into some issues while scrolling through my TV shows folder. I would select a tv show and then try and scroll through the episodes and suddenly plex would freeze and crash. I did some investigating and decided to side load a few previous versions of the player for fire stick. It seems between version 8.5.2.20133 (Sept 1 2020) and 8.6.0.20351 (Sept 7 2020) is where the problem started. I’ve also tried the most updated versions and still have the same issue. Hoping this will be addressed and sorted out sometime soon.
For now I’m back to using version 8.5.2.20133 and everything is working fine.

I’ve the exact same problem, plus I can’t access some off the controls. Thanks for sharing your research. Looks like I’ll be loading the older version.

Hopefully the folks at Plex address these issues soon.
