Fire TV crashing when playing transcoding media (direct play fine)

Hello,

I’ve started to have an issue the last couple of weeks with a Fire TV stick used remotely.
As soon at playback starts the Plex App crashes and goes back to the Fire TV home screen.
The only items it doesn’t crash on is anything that Direct Plays but most of my media is Blu-ray so has to be transcoded to any remote clients.
The same remote network works fine on the web/android/ios apps, the crash is only on the Fire TV stick.
Network logging does not pick up the error, nothing is shown related to the crash.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? I’ve tried the old/new player option.
All was good for the last couple of years until recently.

I’ve been experiencing the same thing the last couple weeks. I can play media fine through the plex add-on for kodi but this version of the plex app on fire tv continually crashes. I definitely prefer the plex app so I hope you get some suggestions/resolution
