When playing a file with EAC3 7.1 track, the video doesn’t play at all. Pause/Play doesn’t do anything. Scrobbling doesn’t do anything. The video is just a black screen. logs.txt (41.1 KB)
If I set Plex Refresh Rate Switching OFF
, then playback just causes a crash:
02-17 12:18:26.155 e: [ExoPlayer][EventLogger] playerFailed [eventTime=3.74, mediaPos=0.00, window=0, period=0, errorCode=ERROR_CODE_AUDIO_TRACK_INIT_FAILED

Then:
- Plex Refresh Rate Switching On
- Fire Surround Sound > DDP or DD
Makes no difference.
Then, I changed the settings again:
- Plex Refresh Rate Switching On
- Fire Surround Sound > PCM
This time the file plays back fine (Direct Play) but my AVR only receives stereo PCM.
Fire TV supports DDP 7.1 passthrough so this seems like a Plex issue.
