Fire tv plex - not showing “continue watching “

Hi I’ve noticed a few things with the plex app on the fire tv

  1. the profile pictures are all blurred out
    And 2) the continue watching on the Home Screen of the plex app is missing. It comes up on the web browser but not on the fire tv

Any ideas how to resolve this issue(s)?

What version number is the app? The usernames are all correct for the blurred avatars? and the accounts can see the correct content?

Regarding 1st issue, recently many are facing it and for reference can see this post where I tried to compiled related recent reports: No user profile or actor images displaying, but only on the Fire Stick - #3 by Mrs403

For 2nd issue, just to make sure you have your libraries pinned on homescreen? If not, then it won’t show.
If your libraries are pinned but still Continue Watching is missing then providing info asked by BigWheel will help in identifying issue.

So the build on my AFT is 8.26.2.29389 (fdca424e)
And the continue section keeps disappearing. I have to force the app to close, clear the cache and it comes back but then goes again. What’s the issue?

Continue watching has been an issue for a LONG LONG time. 6+ months. Don’t hold your breath.

As for the profile pictures on the login screen. This is a new problem I’ve just recently noticed.

The continue watching issue has been a new thing for me. I assume this is only affecting those on Amazon fire tv?

No it is effecting other systems as well, On my nvidia shield it keeps disappearing as well and has never been fixed like previous person said for 6+ months, Infact my problem with it only started after dsm 7.0 update on my synology nas and had to update plex server to new version that was compatible and migrate everything,ever since the update plex has some major bugs this one included as well as the server just randomly crashes whenever it wants which is also been posted for months and never been fixed either.

I have to login and restart the server at least once or twice a week because i go to watch something and sever has stopped and i have to restart it and it happens at random times. Both issue started with new update to 7.0 on my server.

Are all of the individual libraries set to “Include in home screen and Global search”

also do you have Merge Recently Added items enabled in the libraries settings in the server?

Just trying to figure out how to reproduce issue.
