Firestick not playing WMA files

WMA files will not stream to my fire stick. MP3’s play fine. WMA’s will stream fine on my Android tablet and my old Sony DVD. Any known issues?

WMA is not supported on Fire TV devices.

Shouldn’t the server be transcoding it then?
