Firestick will not connect, Roku will

Hello all I’m new to using Plex server with the Firestick 4k that I just got and haven’t had any issues, but a family member said they had problems the other day. So just this morning everything was working great, i updated the server to the current version. Now, the firestick will not connect to the server and I cannot figure out why.

I have a roku on the same network, it connects fine. Any suggestions on what to try?

What is the ‘secure connections’ setting on the server? Is it set to ‘Preferred’?

Yes, just checked, it is set to preferred.

Alright, and now it randomly started working again without me making any changes…great.

I’d just like some troubleshooting tips if it happens again.
