I’ve been having issues with the fast forward & skip ahead on my fire tv streaming stick. If I fast forward a lot the video will randomly get stuck on infinite loading/buffering. This issue has been there for all versions in the last 2years since I started using a firetv streaming stick. My Roku streaming stick and my lg nano tv Plex app don’t have these issues.
It only occurs randomly when I keep fast forwarding a lot but it does happen very consistently. I don’t have problems with my normal shows and movies I download however I don’t really skip a lot in those 
but it happens extremely frequently in mp4/mkv I download from other streaming websites making it almost unusable for watching those as it keeps getting stuck on buffering and I will have to restart Plex.
I’ve pretty much come into the habit from switching to my lg app just for watching that kind of content. However I really the firetv app better in general.
