Well, the new app is so hard to navigate. Once I figured it out, I don’t see a way to update the libraries. Once I dug around I found what looked like the option, but it doesn’t do anything. This is on a Fire Cube. The only way to update the libraries is through the server on my computer. Can you please take a look?
Since Plex is no longer monitoring the forums, or updating their social account for that matter, they have chosen to disconnect with their loyal longtime users. So sad to see the fall of a once great solution.
Luckily, I was able to uninstall their disaster of a new app and get the previous version installed back on my Fire Cube. I just installed ADBLink on my PC and found the previous version of the app via a REDDIT link and used it to restore the app to it’s previous, working version. All I had to do was enable developer mode on my device, which is easily Googled.
Too bad, Plex was once a great service, but now can’t be trusted to do what’s best for their users. Just one more company that is more interested in their profit margin instead of their user base. This has triggered what they call in the industry, a death spiral.
