I recently changed the ip addressing scheme in my network. I did the usual and updated all the NAT rules and updated the ip address on the plex server. Initially I couldn’t even log into Plex. I removed the preferences.xml file and restarted. I was able to get back into plex and things looked fine. Except now I can’t play any video on a firetv without it stopping after a few seconds, seems as though the buffer isn’t being filled. I’ve been pouring over the logs looking for errors, but it’s almost as if the server isn’t even aware that there is an issue. The only other issue i see are cert errors.
Blockquote[CERT] TLS connection came in with unrecognized plex.direct SNI name ‘10-0-3-190.70223aeaf90d4fe49c86a683e94d85c4.plex.direct’; using installed plex.direct cert
I figure that has to do with the fact that previously my ip was 10.0.4.190. I’ve stopped plex removed the old certs and restart plex no change. I’ve also done the usual, double checked the time etc. I’m seriously stumped. Also there used to be a place in the plex.tv UI where you can remove old servers from your account but I can’t seem to find thatPlex Media Server Logs_2021-01-08_23-21-40.zip (2.7 MB)
I’ve attached the logs hoping someone sees something that i’m missing
