FireTV Failing To Play Back Several Media Files

Seems lately that several media files fail to playback on FireTVs of various hardware releases. I can playback the file via Chromecast, or via Web, but FireTV just fails.

Here’s a media file that will not play back:

As a matter of troubleshooting, try disabling the new player. If that doesn’t fix the issue, try downgrading to v6.12 of the Plex client for Android.

Thanks very much. As soon as I disabled the ‘New Player’ in the settings, all of the video files that would not play are now playing.

I have observed exactly the same.

Do we know if Plex are adressing this issue? Might the old payer be removed before the new one has been fixed - I hope not! We have 5 of these Amazon fire sticks and playback is perfect for all media when the new player is disabled, but crap when using the new player.

How do you disable “new player” on FireTV? I can’t find that on setup.
