Fix Incorrect Cast Info?

I have some (apparently) weird movies with titles similar to much more common movies. I have been unable to get the movie to match from any of the available sources so I ever all the info myself and that’s all good… EXCEPT… I cannot correct the CAST as there does not seem to be any CAST field in the movie’s editable settings. That leaves me with things like a funny (but heavy-R rated) anime that apparently stars Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin because of the incorrect match that Plex found.

Please tell me there is some way to at least REMOVE the entire cast or better yet, tell me how to enter the correct cast myself. Thanks!

No… currently not supported.
Do your “weird movies” exist in The Movie Database?

The correct way after a movie has been incorrectly matched is
not to overwrite the metadata
but first to
‘Fix Match’ the movie and to use the ‘Personal Media’ agent
(or use the TheMovieDatabase agent if the item is listed there.
Either way, the incorrect cast info will get deleted.)

Only after this you should start adding your custom metadata.

Not that I can find.

“Personal Media Agent”

Ah, I associated that with getting the info from the file itself (like IDv3 from MP3s) rather than getting everything from me. Thanks!

personal media agent does that (if you’ve configured it to respect “embedded metadata”) – however only for mp4/m4v containers, not mkv
