"Fix Match"

Instead of “Fix match,” it should be “Fix Where File Is” and “Fix the Description” - Fix Match is incomplete and poor wording.

A) Plex insists that THE EQUALIZER 2 is THE EQUALIZER (file) AND NO amount of “Fixing Match” does anything - even if it clearly brings up both files and I click on EQUALIZER 2. It will ONLY play EQUALIZER that’s NOT even in the same folder!

B) We now have a huge backlog of films with the same name but are spaced decades apart. I have PENELOPE, the Natalie Wood movie from 1966. There is also a Penelope movie from recently and it insists it’s the recent one. While the file plats correct (as I only have the 1966 movie), I cannot change the metadata, I click on and off the “lock” bar - sometimes it insists the data changes cannot be saved until I clear ALL THE WINDOWS but as soon as I close it changes my 1966 date of release back to the last movie (2000something). Why isn’t there an erase this info because t’s NOT correct button instead of a semi-locked state that refuses to accept or even offer we might have the older version of the film? Shouldn’t it ask or let us ask?

Please don’t double post.
Considering this isn’t so much a feature suggestion but an issue , let’s stick with your parallel post
