Fix song matching without losing ratings

I have discovered that some of my music was not named correctly, resulting in incorrect matching.

But I have already spent time rating the music.

The only way I can see to fix this is to use the Plex dance. But this will lose the ratings that I’ve already done.

There needs to be a way to specify “include track re-matching” when fixing a match.

Note that I think it’s actually a serious problem that the Plex dance is styled as “The Plex Dance TM”, because that suggests this workaround is permanent - when it shouldn’t be. Because it is a workaround - and is just not always suitable.

Actually, the issue seems to be more basic:

  • It’s just ignoring some track numbers.

I have tried to fix a match of an album, because it had misidentified some track numbers, despite the filenames being correct.

In the search, it showed correctly - with the correct tracks in bold and the actual missing ones faded. But when I select it, it didn’t change any of the tracks.
