So many solid issues right now that seem to be getting zero attention from where I sit. Buffering loops every 5 minutes, profile resetting over and over, and having to disable displaymode switching to hear audio.
Plex Team I’ve supported you for years. Please give this player some attention. I’m not going to buy a Sheild so I can watch my videos and I have multiple Xbox Ones. I’m a patient guy, but it’s been a couple months now.
Yip the 5 minute buffer loop is the worst! Totally made Plex a non option for me right now. Have had several updates to the media sever since then, so obviously an issue with the Xbox app itself. Needs sorting now!
It seems they’re either willfully ignoring our calls to fix the Xbox issues or they’re gonna drop a big bug fix in the form of an update. Nevertheless, the lack of communication or acknowledgement of these issues is poor form and an even worse way to run a business that you expect to be profitable.
I love my xbox one and I enjoy Plex a lot but man it’s a bummer that they don’t play nice together. This is an ongoing issue that we can hope will get fixed someday
I should specify my main frustration Is during TrueHD audio transcoding on my Dolby Atmos movies. From discussions among other home theater junkies, it’s more of a Microsoft ignorance than it would be plex employees. It seems that the main issue lies in that even though tree he ine S and one X have the potential to do passthrough audio from all sources… it only provides actual passthrough via blu ray disc.
I can run 4k all day long but with limited upload speed (under 50) the high spikes of action movies eventually start the xbox buffer loop.
