Flex Server is not available/accessible

I have Plex installed on my Synology 1819+. I access it primarily via NVidea Shield Pro 19. It has worked fine for a very long time. But just two nights ago I could not access the server from Shield. It would appear as though Plex may have updated on the Shield…I had to select a few things when I first started it. I really didn’t pay attention but I know one of the selections I had to make was which server…it found two including my Plex Server on the Synology. I selected that one as the default and another message asked if i was sure I wanted to select that one as default since it wasn’t available at this time. I’ve tried everything but cannot figure it out. I’ve signed out and signed back into Plex, rebooted the Shield, I stopped and restarted Plex on the Synology…I don’t know what else to do.

Important top pint out…I have Plex ap installed on my PC at the office. I was able to access it and play video from the same Plex Server with no problems. So it seems that only the Shield is unable to access it. Any ideas?!

I have the same problem since yesterday with my Apple Tv and with my ipads (I tried with 3 different) with My Cloud Home server, it only works on my iPhone and my TVs and on my computer. Also try everything like restart my server, my modem but I still have the same problem, Plex tell me my server is offline all the time

That’s disappointing to hear. I KNOW my server is online and accessible as I can watch videos and Live TV here at my office on Plex on my PC. I too can use my iphone & ipad to stream from the same PLex server that I cannot reach using the Shield. I’m sure there are others with similar experiences.

Yes, it is very frustrating, I also know that my server is online and working (I can watch and play it from my iPhone, my TV, my pc and even from any browser) but there is no way for the Plex applications on Apple Tv and Ipad IOS to detect my WD My Cloud Home server online. As you say, other people probably have this problem and can help us

Once again it seems to be the Plex API.

I can currently only connect to one server as well. The 2nd has no connection although everything is set correctly on the router.

This has happened more often in recent weeks. You should get a handle on it.
