Hi. Hopefully someone can help me. The Plex server on my shield tv cannot be accessed from any device. It seems that since a recent update everything has just stopped working. I’ve done a full factory reset but it’s still the same. Please help.
Have you tried accessing your server using the bundled version of Plex Web via the Shield’s local IP address?

I use a Mac and Plex was working perfectly, but since the WD My Cloud Home update I can’t access my data through Plex. I can access the WD My Cloud Home NAS both locally and remotely and access everything. When I use Plex to access the data It tells me “My Cloud Home is currently unavailable” on the Mac. On the iPhone or iPad it says My Cloud Home is “offline”.
The update seems to have broken the Plex link. I have tried as much as I can’t to no avail.

Is the name you gave your Plex server ALSO “My Cloud Home”? Then maybe the Plex server isn’t actually running. Check however you run the app on it (Services), maybe reboot the service if it IS already running.
Anyway, this should probably get its own topic, rather than piggy-back on someone being unable to access their server on the Nvidia Shield.
I have tried literally everything having used plex for years now. This seems to be a specific problem with the server since an update or something. The worst thing is that I pay for plex for all the nice add ons but I can’t even use the bloody thing!! Can someone from Plex advise if this can be rectified or is the shield a write off regarding plex? Thanks.
