how can I change the folder permissions of folders created by a plex dvr recording? I changed my QNAP user and the server was installed with the user I no longer want to use. Though the dvr folders created by plex have the old user permissions. Any tips?
On QNAP, Plex runs as the admin user. It doesn’t need permission. It already owns the entire NAS. (This is how QNAP wants it)

can i change plex so it runs with another user(name) than admin? the new user has adminstrator privileges as well.
No. QNAP doesn’t have enough support for doing this.
They have no su command for me to use at the command line (where I launch PMS).
Their implementation of sudo is inadequate
so chown is not possible?
