Folders greyed out upon attempting to make library

Server Version#: 1.25.7.5604
Player Version#: Plex Web

So I recently tried to setup a new plex server by formatting my Windows machine and running Linux on it, while using the same drive that had all my media on it with the new Linux OS. After a couple of days of fooling around with it, I decided to just revert to using Windows for now, and change over in the future.

Upon going to reinstall Plex Media Server on a new installation of Windows 10, I went to add a library only to discover that all my folders are now showing as files like this, but I’m still able to open them in Windows Explorer and play the movies inside via VLC. I tried moving the files to a new folder and checking again, and also “taking ownership” of all of them with this nifty tool that helped me in the past, but nothing. I’m pretty sure (but not certain) that this problem has to do with the permissions Plex Media Server holds, but I’m not sure how to change the permissions so that it can access them.

Anyone know what this is or how to fix it? If any additional info is needed, please let me know, thanks!

Is Plex server running as a Windows system service?

When you plugged in this drive, did you stop Plex server using its task tray icon and restarted it? Because Plex server does not notice any changes in drive letters while it’s running.
