So say you have a bunch of files in a folder on an internal hard drive named 1.avi, 2.avi, 3.avi, and you delete them in explorer, and replace them with files named 1.mkv, 2.mkv, 3.mkv (Example file names but works with any identical file names). Plex will pick up the new files, but will only mark the old files as unavailable, it will never delete them. (Sometimes it won’t even mark them as unavailable). You have to go into plex and delete each of the avi files manually. The only way around this seems to be delete the files in explorer, do a scan in plex, move in the new files, then do another scan,
