I recently installed Plexamp after deciding to try Plex server for music. I’ve been using Plex server for years for movies and tv shows. I like what I’ve seen from Plexamp so far, after thinking I would prefer a full fledged library manager player like MusicBee, which I’ve been using for years as well.
The suggestion:
One thing I think Plexamp is missing, to accommodate those of us with multiple monitors, is full screen and free form window options. The free form option would be used to have it snapped to different sizes on a secondary screen with other program windows. Like half screen vertical or horizontal, one quarter screen and so on.
The reasoning:
It’s pretty common nowadays to have 2 or more screens, especially for the kind of users that are savvy enough to be running a Plex server for their media consumption. Having the ability to snap Plexamp on other screens serves too purposes: to fill up the desktop screen space when there’s more than one other program window open on that screen and to have a bigger view of the Plexamp content.
Alternative option:
If free form is too much of a hassle or something the developers don’t want to have, at least give us an option to snap it using Windows native options like when you just drag a program window to the edges of the screen or to an adjacent program window.
I hope we get this some day. The current size options are fine for a single screen setup but not being able to have a bigger size snapped on other monitors is a huge missing option in modern software like Plexamp.
