I am currently using ProtonVPN on my Mac which i run the server off, and i can’t seem to get remote access to work, are there any ways to do this or other VPN’s that support this, Thanks
The only way that seems to work consistently is a VPN that supports split tunneling. Set it and forget it.
PIA have a application exception which allows all Plex features to work and supports port forwarding.
Not FREE but cheap
The problem is not the VPN, because that’s how vpn works. Your alternative is “remove” Plex from the VPN tunneling (split tunneling). You can do it with whenever VPN you want, but for security purposes, most of them will not allow you to do it out of the box.
