That depends. Do you want Plex to use the VPN or bypass it?
If you want to bypass the VPN you can use the split tunneling feature. You just add Plex to a list of apps the VPN should ignore
Plex will continue to use your regular IP address causing no interference. You just set up remote streaming like you would in a normal instance with no VPN
If you want Plex to be on the VPN, that could be challenging. I don’t know what kind of features Express has i.e. port forwarding ect….
I assume this is another Vpn than Express vpn, and when i try the split tunneling feature express vpn has it does not work
Yes, that is a different VPN
Does your remote access work if you turn the VPN off completely?
Yes, it only becomes a problem while i use the vpn
If I remember correctly, I spoke to someone else who had this same issue but it was a bug with Express VPN. I want to say it was exclusive to Mac but I don’t remember
Might have to visit their forum
Had a chat with their support and they acknowledged there was a bug with their split tunneling feature and Plex so it seems a need a solution other than split tunneling or change vpn provider
