Added movie manually on freebase, not matching
I added a movie manually to freebase because I could not find it anywhere else but when I went to match it on my Plex Media Manager it said that it could not find any suitable matches. I was wondering if maybe there is a delay or something because I just added the movie to the freebase website a couple hours ago or if possibly something is wrong with my plugin. Does it take a certain amount of time for the added things on freebase to be able to be matched? Thanks!
Plex has its own cache server, so it will take some time to sync up with changes on the main meta site. Wait a day and try refreshing the meta.
Okay great, thanks for the info! I thought I'd also ask this question here instead of making a new thread for now but...
I noticed that when I was able to match a different movie with freeware that on the Plex player when I selected it it has a fancy background picture to go along with the main dvd cover and description. I was wondering how this happens and if there is a way for me to make that happen with the movie I added to freeware myself.
If you didn't up the artwork then there must be somewhere else that has an entry for the movie that you added in Freebase. Check at themoviedb.org or movieposterdb.com.
I've never added anything to freebase, so I'm not sure what their process is. I would check on their site and see what type of meta data and format they accept.
