Why does Plex keep freezing up in the middle of an episode of a tv show?

e.g. (but not limited to):
- version of PMS, running on what platform?
- what player are you using?
- what kind of media is this about?

No idea what âPMSâ is or what player Iâm using. Media type is tv episodes, namely episodes of The Dresden Files. Iâm playing them over the internet via my mobile data.
Got you⊠youâve been watching those episodes from Plexâ video on demand service. Iâm not aware of any general issues⊠my guess is that Plex is trying to play an ad thatâs not loading or being blocked and gets Stuck in the process.
PMS refers to Plex Media Server⊠itâs the software they offer to catalog your own media and to stream it to client apps on many different platforms (incl. mobiles, smart TVs or streaming boxes)
Yes. It freezes on the commercials (ads). Is there any solution to this problem?
You could check if you experience this behavior on any of the native clients (e.g. Plex for Mac / WindowsâŠ). If you have content/ad blocking on your system, you might try to configure an exception for Plex.
Not aware of any common issues with the streaming/ads in general.
Canât check those. No computer. Phone is Android. Donât think I have any content/ad blocking on my phone. I watched last two seasons of Andromeda with no problems.
