French telefilm match not working

Hi,

Since yesterday, I’m trying to put a new telefilm (TV movie) in my library.

Meurtres à Granville (2020)

No way to this one :frowning:
All my changes make nothing changing this…

  • different name, changing year
  • added the IMDb or TheMovieDB ID number in curly braces

Plz, anyone coul help here?

This is not a movie, but an episode of a TV show.
Because of that, it will only be recognized and matched within a library of the type “TV Shows”.

Thx for the answer.
True, I’ve to move this one and two others in this library in same folder (like series).
Though in final solution, before make this post.

But, to understand what’s happen, back to library situation:

1 My library is Movie.

2 Two others telefilms from same serie (collection) are match 100% OK
Her result in Plex Media Server library:

3 Now, why this one is not matching?

This too is an episode of a tv show, not a movie.

Look up your titles on either imdb.com, TheMovieDB.org, or TheTVDB.com
to see if they can be added as movies or as tv show episodes.

The only thing here is: Why two episodes of same serie are ok on my movie library and not “Meurtres à Granville” ?

The fact is:

  • “Meurtres à Granville” is in imdb & tvdb as episode of the serie: no matching!
  • others two episodes are in imdb & tvdb as episode of the serie: matching ok!

I’ve a question about Plex agent for movies: what is the source to match, imdb or tvdb or tmdb?

Anyway if no solution: I will put the 3 standalone episodes in a folder called “Meurtre à…” (as i was thinking before posting).

The other two episodes are on TMDB (also) listed as a movie. That’s sometimes and inconsistently the case for series, where the episodes more or less qualify as a tv movie i.e. for special episodes.

Back to the problem: Again Telefilm is not matching…
It’s not from saison 6 but saison 8…

Now, is there any solution to manually enter the téléfilm in my library ?

  1. you can only match items which are appearing in the online metadata services
  2. Depending on how these items are classified, they must be in alibrary of the type Movies or TV Shows. An items which appears as a TV Show, doesn’t match as a Movie and vice versa.
