I have been just manually restarting plex when this happens, but I am ready to get to the bottom of this! I run windows 10, machine has 64gb RAM, i7-4960x… Plex crashes and I have to login and run plex again and it will work for days or hours pretty random.
I researched and found someones solution was turning off hardware acceleration in the transcoding settings, so i am going to try that, but i’d appreciate it if someone can look at my logs and tell me if that’s my issue. You’re better off using Kodi. I’ve had issues with all versions on multiple platforms for about 8 months. I think something happened in their updates that really screwed with how the files are streamed/transcoded. I just started using Kodi this past week and the titles are running flawlessly without any changes to my network or devices.
I turned off generate video preview thumbnails and chapters. I’ve had them off for months because that’s what was causing my crashing and I didn’t have time to investigate why
Try removing your plug-ins as in your logs it looks like that could be your issue. I would also turn off your firewall/antivirus as it could be the issue also. See if that helps.
i have 2x nvidia titan’s (not titan X) windows 10 says there are no updates available either… i will try to upddate my video drivers. What are my “sync Lists”
I also set it to pick the appropriate network interface
