how do I remove Unavailable Servers from my side bar? These are not my servers, I was a guest on it. There are no 3 dots. If I select the server, it just gives me a ‘Retry Connection’ button.
I’ve tried going into Authorized Devices. I have 1 server, mine, that is listed. I have 3 friend servers that work and 3 that don’t and none of them are listed here.
what gives? how do I remove these servers? they call out all the time and I want to just remove them. The Troubleshooting page only gives me resolutions on MY server. not a guest on a different server.
So other people have more control over my library than I do? fantastic. Sounds like I’m gonna have these FOREVER until you give me control to remove these sources myself. These are old army buddies to which I don’t have contact info for…
That “friends” list is in an odd spot… not in my account settings but on a profile page where everything else on that profile page except for “friends” can be edited and managed in the Account Settings section. I think moving the “friends” under Account Settings would be beneficial.
Like you see how stupid that sounds right? Old friend sets up his server, doesn’t care about it anymore and stops using it, he wasn’t very technical. He still uses my server every once in a while, but to solve my own problem… I have to remove him? I don’t want to remove my friend.
Removing a friend to solve my own minor inconvenience is stupid because you guys are lazy or have bad code. Trying to convince me I have the power to make the change I want doesn’t work if its action still causes a negative outcome.
I figured it out. The Plex Employee doesn’t know what they were talking about. You don’t have to delete your friend to remove their server… Doesn’t say this anywhere so I’ll say it here:
Setup > Manage Library Access > USER > Then you’ll see a list of servers you have access too. Edit to get a button to LEAVE SERVER.
