ive just shared some libraries with a friend and he can see all ok but i only see an option for him to sync to his other devices, no option to download
i was hoping he could transfer to his server and then could play locally and stream to any of his devices.
presumably this is just the way it is?

ok bum, but could just use my login so defeats the object of the restriction… oh well, download would prob be too slow anyway

No he can’t just use your login if you care about security. If you’ve added him as a managed user that is a very bad idea. He is then only 4 digits away from your admin access. You want to invite him to the server as a friend. He will not be able to download.
yes invited as a friend, didnt want to take my bandwidth and download instead
