I have the Plex Pass subscription and understand that as part of my subscription, my friends who I grant Library access too should be able to access my library remotely. I have removed and re-added their accesses but they are completely unable to access my media via either wep app or Desktop app. I am unable to find any answers either. It shows that they have access on their end and my end but they dont see my server at all.
Habe you been able to verify that your remote access setup is configured correctly and working (e.g. if you access your own server’s libraries from outside your home network)?

You could also ask them to verify your shared libraries are listed in the sidebar’s „More“ section.
Yes. I hotspotted my laptop to my phone as an external network and could access everything just fine. And my phone app works with no issues. My fiancee doesn’t get the “More” option. I have also toggled the remote access to no avail
The issue is with the version of PMS you have installed. Your version is having a vulnerability and Plex is therefore blocking others from accessing it.
You’ll need to upgrade to 1.42.1 or newer (see the link posted by @TheLivingBubba → good catch, I missed the PMS version in the OP).
Thanks guys. I’ve updated to PMS 1.42.1 now and despite more hiccups, everything is now working again. Thanks everyone and I’ll keep a closer eye out for updates
