Frustrated new User. Searching for hours on how to change Client Name

So I have spent the last couple of hours trying to figure out how to change the Client or Device names. I have 5 devices running Plex client and already seeing that their is no way to have a clear name of what the different clients on the different devices are.

and from what I have found there is no set way to rename the Clients. Depending on what device your are using you might be able to rename the client. I was real easy on a NVIDIA Shield, Cant figure out how to do it on the Samsung TV App, Cant figure it out on the Android App… What am I missing and why is a very obvious feature so hard and difficult.

With this basic feature being so hard and unclear I am starting to rethink my choice to use PLEX.

Any comments or help for a new user?

As you pointed out… it’s based on the actual device name – if the underlying platform allows renaming it, you’re good to go; otherwise you currently have no way to achieve that.

There’s a feature suggestion addressing this but so far it’s got little attention (=votes) from users.
