Fully accessible outside your network BUT

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395

So it says my remote server is fully accessible outside of my network, but I am unable to access it on my phone or tablets on 4G. Tells me the server is unreachable.

What am I missing here?

I’m having the exact same issue and even tried rolling back to 1.13.5 with no luck.

I’ve tried everything I know to do for the last hour. UPnP on/off, manual port forwarding, updating media server, rebooting router, pc, etc, etc, etc…

I don’t get it…works fine locally here in the house.

Yep. Same here. Lost remote access, but local access fine. Discovered in past 30 minutes.

same issue too locally accessible but not remotely

same issue

For some reason they’re pushing virtual network addresses at us instead of publishing our real addresses. this is happening on my shield and windows boxes, so far my freebsd box is ok, but I also have plex-relay disabled there.

I almost lost my mind trying to figure this out… Thought it was all on my end. Hopefully its a quick fix.

Same issue here. Everything working on my internal network, but remote access doesn’t work even though the server reports that is it " Fully accessible outside your network"

Server is running version 1.13.8.5395, I see that there is an update, but several people have reported the problem on the update as well.

Sounds like lots of users are impacted, how do we get updates on when this will be resolved?

working ok now!

Yes. Remote access working again!

Same here, just started today after update Version 1.13.8.5395

same issue here. shows fully accessible outside, but when trying via my iphone app while not on wifi, it is unable to connect and says “Offline”. I’m on PMS v 1.13.8.5395. it definitely worked a few days ago and i’ve had this configured for the last 2+years with rarely any external connectivity issues.

Please fix this, Plex!

I too am having the same issue. Started roughly 4.5 hours ago while watching a video. Would get random issues with connecting with the server. Glad to see I am not the only one.

I have attempted to upgrade the server and apps. Rebooted everything on my network, port forwarding changing QoS settings and all. Nothing seems to work.

I would get this not working both when it stated remote access was available and when it wasn’t. I even got it to report remote access just after forwarding a port, only to refresh with no setting changes and no luck. I have removed every adjustment I have tried, rebooted everything including my end device and still have the same issue while Plex is reporting remote access is available.

Thought it was my ISP at some point too but that is out of the question with others having the same issue.

Running 1.13.8.5395 and still no luck.

Having the same issue.

Same issue here… Maybe they forgot to mention they were removing remote access?

still flapping back and forth between that reserved network and my address, the good news is it’s not really down. you can connect to external-address:port directly, it’s just that plex clients can’t find you as they rely on the website to tell them where to go.

I got sick of it and ended up downgrading mine from the new 1.13.8.5395 back down to 1.13.5.5332. As soon as I did that my remote access issues were resolved.

Looks to be a new bug in the new code? and I would agree that it likely has to do with pushing virtual IPs.

same issue here.

Downgrading to 1.13.5.5332 did not work for me unfortunately, I have tried everything I can think of. Everytime plex shows “Fully accessible outside your network” the Public IP is 172.17.0.1, which is not my public IP, nor is it in any range on my local network, local ranges are 192.168.7.x and 192.168.0.x. Plex remote access was working perfectly until I got Plex Pass and added a user to my home. Makes 0 sense since that has nothing to do with the network settings. I changed nothing, the port is open from outside in and inside out. I think Plex is defaulting to the wrong Public IP.
