Hello, my Plex app on Firestick recently updated to a new interface. I’m out of the loop, but this seems like it’s some test version of a new app. So far I’ve been very disappointed in the experience and it feels as though a basic level of functionality is either not working, or is functioning worse than the previous app.

“Scanning for files” menu takes many clicks to reach. In the prior app, I could reach from the home screen in about 2-3 buttons presses. Now, it’s hidden behind multiple sub menus and many more clicks.
-
Cannot actually press the “Scan for Files” button. When I reach the menu, it’s the second menu item, however when I press down to select the Scan button, it selection “highlight” disappears and I cannot select it. As such, I need to log into another device that’s still using the old app to scan.

Cannot back out of show’s menu to reach the home menu sometimes. I’m not sure the cause, but if I’m watching a show and then want to back out of it to reach the home menu, I used to be able to press the back button a few times. Now, when I hit back button, it only goes so far back to reach the Show’s summary menu. If I hit the “Home” button on the remote, it will take me out of the app, but when I return to the app, I’m still at the Show’s summary menu and there’s no way to navigate to Home. The only way I can reach the Home menu is to restart the entire device.

Subtitles selection menu is missing subtitle names sometimes. Not for all shows/movies, but in some cases, subtitle labeling just shows “Unknown”

Pressing Confirm button on the remote doesn’t pause the show/movie anymore. When watching a video, I used to be able to press the remote’s middle “Confirm” button to immediately pause the video. Now, pressing the button just unhides the playback menu. I then have to press up on the remote and press confirm again to pause. This is really strange behaviour and doesn’t match behaviour on similar apps (prime, netflix, youtube, etc) and adds more input for a very simple and common command.

The buffering/loading symbol is broken (I think). Whenever a video is loading/buffering, a strange animation plays in the center of the screen. It doesn’t look like anything specifically, but a few curved lines looping in movement. I assume the image/animation is broken because it doesn’t look great at all, and replaces the nicely polished buffering icon that the old app had.
I’m guessing the team must have accidentally pushed an alpha for a new interface, as this does not seem like something that would be ready for consumer use, though I don’t recall opting into alpha testing. Is there any way to roll back my app to the previous interface?
Thank you
